Shenzhen-based CubiFab has raised tens of millions of RMB in a new funding round from Nanshan Strategic Emerging Industries Investment and Longhua Capital, according to an October 23 announcement. The desktop CNC company will use the proceeds to scale production and deliveries of its first product, the CubiFab C1, strengthen its supply chain and expand overseas sales channels.
The C1 is designed as a personal CNC workstation that enables users to produce metal components on a desktop. It integrates processing guidance and on-device monitoring to simplify tasks traditionally requiring separate design, machining and setup tools. The company’s team includes former employees of Intel, Apple, DJI, Anker and Bambu Lab, combining industrial-control experience with consumer-hardware development. [PE Daily, in Chinese]
