Ant Group has launched LingGuang 2.0, upgrading its AI assistant with persistent memory and the ability to continue managing tasks after users leave a conversation. With authorization, the assistant can identify needs, monitor changes and follow up over time, rather than waiting for a new instruction at every step.

Supported uses include checking Alipay bills for forgotten recurring subscriptions, monitoring flight and hotel prices after booking, and extracting tasks from school notices in DingTalk groups. The assistant connects to services including Alipay, DingTalk, Feishu, email and Xiaomi’s Mijia smart-home platform, and supports external tools through MCP and command-line interfaces. The release follows limited testing earlier this month. [IT Home, in Chinese]
