Chinese video-generation company Sand.ai announced a $200 million Series A+ funding round on November 5. The company said the investment gave it unicorn status and brought its fundraising this year to $300 million across three rounds.

Cornerstone Capital and Wangsu Science & Technology jointly led the round. Sand.ai will use the proceeds for video-model research, training and inference infrastructure, product development, and international expansion. It also plans to release the full version of MAGI-2, a larger video-generation model built on a mixture-of-experts architecture, soon. [Jiemian, in Chinese]
