DDMap, a lifestyle e-commerce service, announced that it secured new funding from Alibaba. The exact sum wasn’t disclosed. Back in last November, Alibaba and Citi Ventures invested tens of millions of US dollars into DDMap, the Shanghai-based startup.

The data of DDMap were integrated Alipay Wallet mobile app after Alibaba made the last investment so that the electronic coupons downloaded from DDcoupon, its e-coupon service, could be stored and managed in the ‘Wallet’.

DDMap has raised around 60 million US dollars since inception and 40 million US dollars received last year was used for the operation of DDCoupon.

Last year was a year of expansion for DDmap. Its team expanded from 400 to 1000 and branch offices  from 7 cities to 38 cities. From this year it began to promote scanning terminals at offline stores to read e-coupons. DDCoupon take commissions from transactions or customers acquired for merchants.
