Daily mobile payment transactions through Alipay, the payment services of Alibaba Group, has reached 25 million, Alibaba announced today.

The majority of payments are still from mobile Taobao, the mobile version of Alibaba’s  consumer-to-consumer e-commerce marketplace. The rest are from third-party businesses, ranging from convenience stores to taxis, who have integrated Alipay to their mobile apps or use Alipay On-site payment solutions such as POS payments.

Alipay launched an SDK plugin for businesses to embed into their mobile apps. Sina Weibo, online footwear retailer Haolemai, group-buying services Lashou and Wowotuan, and dozens more have adopted Alipay solution. Businesses also can choose to use the HTML5-based mobile web solution or the one-click payment solution for users who have had their bank accounts support it.
