After a few months of hard work, CreativCulture, China’s online t-shirt design contest where talented Chinese designers can submit their work and use the power of crowd-sourcing to select the best design, has now opened its online store.

The store is run through Taobao where payment is more convenient and trustworthy. They ship their shirts anywhere in China and it only takes a few days to arrive. Since they just launched, there are only a few designs available but they will have more designs coming soon. Currently their website has a Jin Moon Rabbit and This is Shen Ma (a play on “What is this” in Mandarin) designs available in both men’s and women’s cuts for 108rmb. To maintain consistency in  quality, the shirt itself is imported and the printing is done in China. I’ve seen and felt the finished product and it’s great. The shirt comes in a funky package along with some cool stickers.

It will interesting to see how CreativCulture does compared to more well known online t-shirt e-tailer’s like Vancl and Mecox Lane which sell for only RMB 29. It will also be intriguing to see how the crowd-sourcing design model works in China. What do you think?

  1. This is really good than creative t-shirt has open it’s online store. I really like if they also provide the online facility to design the t-shirt and than order it from the website.
