App Annie, the mobile app analytics service provider that started from China, has acquired Distimo, another mobile analytics service that started from the Netherlands in 2009.
It’s the first acquisition App Annie has made since the founding four years ago. The price isn’t disclosed, but App Annie says it’s made in cash and equity.
The Distimo team will be integrated into App Annie’s, and Distimo’s headquarters in the Netherlands will become App Annie’s European R&D center. The combined employees will be more than 240 around the world.
The combination of the two startups now have a total of 600, 000 mobile apps using their services and 270,000 registered users.
Also, App Annie has raised a $17 million round funding from existing investors, IDG Capital Partners, Greycroft Partners, and Sequoia Capital. Prior to this round, the company has raised three rounds of funding that totals $39 million.
