Bilibili and the People’s Daily are giving 100,000 free memberships of Station B (the affectionate name given to Bilibili by its users) as public welfare to people in some areas that are fighting the coronavirus. The first batch of cities included Wuhan and Shenzhen, Taizhou, Wuhu, Chengdu, Changsha, and Guangzhou.

Bilibili will provide 100,000 free monthly memberships, which will be distributed by the local community units to people who are quarantined at home. Bilibili said that after receiving and activating their memberships, the quarantined people can watch the paid content for free during the validity period, in the hope of “enriching their spiritual life and alleviating the anxiety caused by the development of the epidemic.”

Earlier, Bilibili has donated RMB 10 million and RMB 300,000 worth of medical protection supply to Wuhan, Hubei, and selected premium TV shows and series to Hubei TV station for broadcasting.
