Huawei and Chinese automaker Seres announced on Saturday that they are expanding their partnership to develop consumer electric vehicles. The two companies are planning to launch the first Aito-branded car model equipped with Huawei’s advanced driver assistance system later this year. According to the report, Seres has set a goal of producing a total of 1 million electric cars by 2026 with the help of Huawei. Deliveries of Aito-branded electric cars began last March and as of January this year, more than 80,000 have been delivered. Huawei is seeking to expand its alliances with Chinese automakers and has already partnered with Changan, BAIC, Chery, and JAC. [CLS, in Chinese]
