Loongson, a Chinese chip maker and processor design company, announced that it has been working on updating its Loongson 3A6000 CPUs at an annual performance briefing event on Tuesday. Loongson claimed that the performance of the 3A6000 is comparable to AMD Zen 2, which is based on 7nm processes, adding that the performance of the 3A6000 is also equal to Intel’s 10th Gen Core. Loongson said it will provide the 3A6000 to computer partners once it completes product optimization. The company expects to release this new SoC chip in the fourth quarter of 2023.
