Alibaba has added a suite of sourcing tools to its global business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce platform,, in an effort to expand its operations in the United States. The online wholesale marketplace now offers new features, including an enhanced image search tool and real-time translation capabilities in 17 languages, with the aim of catering to a broader user base. has witnessed a 33% year-on-year growth in the number of active buyers in the first half of 2023. Online traffic in the United States has increased, though Alibaba does not disclose specific US customer and sales figures.
