Huawei has unveiled what it calls the world’s first 3D data center at an AI data-center conference in Wuhu, Anhui. The design stacks cooling, IT equipment, power and backup-power layers vertically instead of laying them out horizontally.

Huawei says the architecture supports zone-based isolation and cooling, shorter power and cooling routes, standardized prefabrication and intelligent operations, while cutting electromechanical delivery time by half.
