After all the rumored delays, Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Fire HD finally are on sale on Amazon China. The same with what was spotted two days ago on its site, Kindle Paperwhite is priced at 849 yuan and and Kindle Fire HDs are sold for 1499 yuan (16GB) and 1799 yuan (32GB).
Kindle Paperwhite is also available on Suning’s online store for users in six big cities, and users have to pick it up at Suning’s brick-and-mortar stores in those cities. Amazon’s counter was spotted in one of Suning’s brick-and-mortar shops in Beijing.
The Kindle software began to support Chinese last November. One month later ‘Kindle Store’ along with reading apps and Chinese Kindle books were added. Amazon Appstore for Android, online storage service Cloud Drive and developer program were introduced earlier this year.
