BYD, a Chinese vehicle and battery manufacturer based in Shenzhen, released its sales report last week, showing it had sold 93,168 new-energy vehicles in January, a year-on-year increase of 361.73%. BYD’s month-on-month new-energy vehicle sales fell by 0.8% in January, as opposed to the 10% decline originally forecast by Citibank, according to Reuters.
