On Saturday, Qualcomm hosted its Snapdragon Fans anniversary party, where Honor unveiled the world’s first robot smartphone, the Honor Robot Phone. Qualcomm also released high-resolution hands-on images of the device, showcasing details such as the back design and its robotic-arm camera gimbal. According to Qualcomm, the Honor Robot Phone, powered by a flagship Snapdragon chipset, features on-device embodied AI capabilities and powerful AI computing performance, enabling it to stably drive an autonomous robotic camera system and motion decision-making.

The biggest feature of the Honor Robot Phone is its hidden robotic-arm gimbal system. When not in use, the robotic arm retracts into the body of the phone. With a single tap, the robotic arm extends outward and allows the smartphone to physically move while delivering fully automatic framing, subject tracking, and advanced stabilization. The Honor Robot Phone is scheduled for an official launch in the third quarter of this year. [TechWeb, in Chinese]
